Thing that make you smile.

I was walk going to work as I saw a fluffy little creature walking with its 4 legs. It was creature we loved the most, a dog. But this particular dog reminds me of my little one. My little dog named ChanChan. When I was living in the Philippines a neighbor gave us a dog so we adopted him. He was small and fragile. Unfortunately he was malnourished when he arrived. So what I did was to feed him. He sleeps under the table. Little by little I see improvement of him. His all around the house running. And he is always hungry.

Before I named him ChanChan his first name was Kirby because he is pinkish and too fat like the Kirby who was known character. He eats a lot like how the character does. He is also jolly he likes to play with me. He wags his tail whenever I arrived from the University.

Then one time he got sick. I felt so bad when it happened. I was sad. He got worm infection and I almost lost him. It was devastating. But he’s a strong dog. He overcome it and survive with much love and medication given. Then I decided to rename him. We had this thing about superstition that we rename our nicknames when our names doesn’t suits us and when we fell from being sick. On that time as well I was starting college when a friend of mine decided to influence me about Korean Pop. I became “addicted” and like a particular member of a group. Because of that I named him ChanChan a part of the name of the member I liked. But knowing my mother will not allow it I made an excuse that it sound like Tiyan which is a tagalog that means stomach. Since this baby of mine has a huge belly and like to munch a lot. It was approved and until now his name is Chanchan.

I loved him a lot. I missed him too.The good old days. One time he escaped. We panicked we could not see him. We almost give up but on the afternoon he came with bunch of homeless dogs. We tried to catch him and ended being failed. We got the idea to use one of the dogs since one of them is around the neighborhood. And this particular dog is close to our heart. It was Putol which means cut. He got very tiny tail. We lured both of them until I’m able to catch Chanchan. He got sad. He wailed and wailed so I just let him be tied up at our gate.

When I left the Philippines I really hoped that my aunt will take care of him which is I’m thankful she does. Sometimes I see him through our skype.

I went back to reality ran to the door because I’m late.
