It was my first summer in Canada and I was eagerly looking forward to it after the long months of snowy cold winter, non-stop showers and gloomy grey days. After surrounded by greys and blacks all around, the bright sunshine, the warmth and summer colors brought a new and fresh dimension to my journey here in Canada. I thought finally my photos would have some colors in it as I would be free from my bulky long grey winter jacket.
Even though the summer is short, I started seeing people celebrate life and enjoy the summer days while they have it. I started seeing lot of activities all around like picnics, night markets, street festivals, trekking, open air movie nights and what not! The fact that the summer days are long and the sun sets at 10 pm was like magic to me. Being a Cynophile (a dog lover), I was super excited to see so many dogs come out of their dens joining their families in all the summer outings and activities.
Back home our streets used to be flooded with country dogs which I used to feed and foster. The realization that Canada too has plenty of dogs and Canada too has colors felt great and gave a jump start to the 2019 Canadian Summer. I was all set and enthusiastic to explore Vancouver and make the most of Summer before it is soon gone. Open air movie night with a big crowd of people was something I had never experience before in life. It was an amazing experience of my 2019 Canadian Summer in which I witnessed how people in Canada enjoyed and celebrated life together with everybody like a big joint family along with strangers and pets all around. I was grateful for a beautiful, warm and fun filled Summer!
