But what does AI mean? According to technopedia “Artificial intelligence (AI) is an area of computer science that emphasizes the creation of intelligent machines that work and react like humans. Some of the activities computers with artificial intelligence are designed for include, speech recognition, learning, planning and problem solving”

I understand how Siri and Alexa work and, even though trusting that a car will stop by itself before crashing seems a little bit crazy, I can also manage that. What I can’t seem to wrap my head around is the idea of robots taking over the world. To me this seems probable but at the same time impossible. Probable because technology is advancing very fast and if we are teaching machines to think by themselves maybe they will generate a thinking pattern more advanced than ours. At the same time it seems impossible because I think that the code that is being fed to the computers are aimed to solve specific problems, for example, if your car is approaching another car at a certain speed stop. Or if you listen to someone that always pronounces J instead of Y and he asks for the song “the Jello submarine by the Beatles” also look for the song the Yellow Submarine.

Whatever the “future” is saving for us seems to be approaching fast, according to Google’s Director of Engineering Ray Kurzweil we won’t experience 100 years of progress in the 21st century, it will be more like 20,000 years of progress at today’s rate, so by 2099, the intelligence that will have emerged from human-machine civilization will be trillions of trillions of times more powerful than it is today, and, in my opinion, the only way to adapt to this changes is for us to change with it, we need to be curious and remain informed about the little changes in the technology world because in my opinion, these changes will alter our future.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

[et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”3.29.3″ use_background_color_gradient=”on” background_color_gradient_start=”rgba(196,19,33,0.5)” background_color_gradient_end=”rgba(224,153,0,0.5)” background_color_gradient_overlays_image=”on” background_image=”http://culturechats.org/writings/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/bg-img.jpg” custom_padding=”50px||50px||false|false” fb_built=”1″ _i=”0″ _address=”0″][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_3,2_3″ use_custom_gutter=”on” gutter_width=”2″ _builder_version=”3.29.3″ custom_padding=”0px||0px||false|false” _i=”0″ _address=”0.0″][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”3.29.3″ _i=”0″ _address=”0.0.0″][et_pb_image src=”http://box5765.temp.domains/~cultusq5/writings/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Karla-Brambila.jpg” _builder_version=”3.29.3″ _i=”0″ _address=”0.0.0.0″][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”2_3″ _builder_version=”3.29.3″ _i=”1″ _address=”0.0.1″][et_pb_text admin_label=”By Author Name” _builder_version=”3.29.3″ _dynamic_attributes=”content” text_font=”PT Sans Narrow|700||on|||||” text_text_color=”#000000″ text_font_size=”28px” text_line_height=”38px” header_3_font=”PT Sans Narrow|700||on|||||” header_3_text_align=”left” header_3_text_color=”#000000″ header_3_line_height=”32px” _i=”0″ _address=”0.0.1.0″]@ET-DC@eyJkeW5hbWljIjp0cnVlLCJjb250ZW50IjoicG9zdF9jYXRlZ29yaWVzIiwic2V0dGluZ3MiOnsiYmVmb3JlIjoiQnkgIiwiYWZ0ZXIiOiIiLCJsaW5rX3RvX3Rlcm1fcGFnZSI6Im9uIiwic2VwYXJhdG9yIjoiIHwgIiwiY2F0ZWdvcnlfdHlwZSI6ImNhdGVnb3J5In19@[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.29.3″ text_font_size=”20px” _i=”1″ _address=”0.0.1.1″] My […]

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

14

post-1570","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-karla-brambila
["GET
