Story Readings and Arts Display to celebrate BC Multiculturalism Week
Culture Chats BC Association has organized story readings and arts display on November 27 from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm as part of the BC Multiculturalism Week’s celebrations. This is a unique, free multicultural celebration that invites local families and children to join us at the South Burnaby Neighbourhood House South on 4460 Beresford St, V5H 2Y8
Attendees will enjoy the community art exhibition, children’s Storytime and multicultural performances. The display of arts and crafts showcases community artists including newcomers who will share amazingly diverse world art.
Craft Activities for children and families also introduce multicultural arts. For example the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver will plan some Jewish craft activities related to Hanukkah. In preparation for the event, a couple of free online workshops have been set up on November 13th and on November 20th. The funding from Festivals Burnaby and Government of Canada is gratefully acknowledged as is the support from Burnaby Neighbourhood House South and Literacy Now who will organize a raffle to give away copies of our published children’s stories.
