Details
Culture Chats BC Association organizes a Multicultural festival annually to celebrate BC’s Multiculturalism week in the month of November. The key feature of this event is an art and craft exhibition inviting local community artists to showcase their traditional arts. Local artists from different cultures have participated in the past displaying for instance Turkish Marble Paintings, Columbian ethnic jewelry, Persian handmade decorations and Chinese calligraphy art.
Local groups also participate to present traditional group performances and live music accompanies the merry atmosphere. The festival is supported by a neighbourhood grand from Festivals Burnaby and it offers a platform for multiple art forms to be showcased within a single afternoon.
This year’s festival is planned on Nov 30 at the Alan Emmott center in Burnaby from 3 pm onwards. The event is free but registration is requested. For further information or registration please contact culturechats@gmail.com
